Camille Styles is aptly named. A lifestyle guru from the get-go, Camille had been delivering fun fashion, sumptuous food, and effortless entertaining tidbits to a rapidly growing fan base. With new, high-profile exposure on HGTV and a book deal in the works, Styles wanted to upgrade the look, feel, and efficiency of her blog.
Camille Styles came to Merrygood wanting a website redesign. Her goal was to create the ultimate site for her readers, including an updated design and editorial look and feel that would show off beautiful, exclusive photography shot specifically for the blog’s posts. And, since a huge portion of her audience visits on mobile devices, Styles wanted the site to be completely responsive — a feature her previous site did not have
Merrygood created a suite of templates that Camille and her team of writers could apply to a wide-range of content. We thought through a variety of content needs, including traditional posts, galleries, and recipes. An in-depth typography study yielded gorgeous font arrangements as beautiful as the images they accompany. With each aesthetic choice, we kept Camille’s performance goals and metrics in mind: to increase sharing and commenting, newsletter sign-ups, and overall engagement.
Camille and her team are extremely pleased with their new, mobile-friendly blog — and so are her readers. In response to a blog post crediting Merrygood, comments from her readers were overwhelmingly positive.
