Sustainability Tech Deserves Beautiful Design:

New Renewables Brand Does It Right from the Start


Challenge:
Solar plants are costly to build — and they must be expertly maintained. NovaSource helps solar asset owners get the best possible returns on their renewables investments with safe, strategic care. To gain traction in a rapidly evolving renewables industry, this startup needed a solid, leading-edge identity, fast.

Solution:

First, Merrygood named the new company and created a logo identity with bold color choices and shapes signaling natural resources and sharp thinking. We put up a landing page to establish NovaSource as a player coming soon.

Meanwhile, we assessed positive ways to align with competitors — and to leap-frog them. We created humanized messages and simplified content to build relationships with the people behind the plants.

Based on a solid set of brand concepts and visuals, we created a website that allowed NovaSource to celebrate their strategic approach to maintenance services, their stability, and their expert team.

Results:

NovaSource’s new site launched in January 2021. Since then, the company’s confident leadership message has made an industry-wide impression and quickly lead to acquisition growth. The NovaSource team appreciates the ability to manage their content to keep pace with a startup’s nimble roadmap.
