Waterloo Greenway

Website Design, Development and Copywriting

This park website is as much of a destination as the park itself.

Waterloo Greenway is well on its way to becoming a wondrous public park that brings the entire Austin community together. For the first time in 10 years, this epic green dream had a new brand that unified its vision of 35 acres of revitalized natural and cultural destinations. We brought the brand to life through a website that immerses visitors in the authentic and uplifting experiences the park offers today — and creates a steady stream of support for the ones to come.

A Digital Environment That Does an Epic Park Justice

When you’re a park where the environment, arts, health, and adventure converge, there’s a lot to share. Especially if you’re a park being built in phases over several years. We interviewed the Waterloo team and transformed their passion for this immense project into streamlined, easy-to-explore content that flows naturally in a highly customized Word Press website. Every micro-interaction is a moment intentionally designed to lead large capital investors, casual donors and people interested in the park’s programming to one involvement-driving realization: “This isn’t just a park. This is my park.”

Fast and Furiously Successful at Customized Platforms

While Waterloo Greenway is a great place to relax and slow down, its website was on the fast track. We had just two-and-a-half-months to perfect it for a launch event headlined by the Austin mayor himself. That included a made-to-order donation platform that flawlessly captured a new wave of park supporters and members the website inspired, and at very different levels. Keeping them engaged – and creating new ones— is easy thanks to a back-end content system that allows the Waterloo Greenway staff to post about the park’s progress and what’s new in mere minutes.
